In 2006 about 5,276,000 school students aged between 10 and 16 were smokers. If all of these students continued to smoke, 3,138,000 would die prematurely from their smoking, not only from lung cancer, but also cancer of the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, esophagus, bladder, stomach, cervix, kidney and pancreas, and acute myelitis leukemia.
